Types of Scams that occurred and may occur again in the future.
Case 1: Vehicle not received after payment
We have received reports that buyers did not receive vehicles they purchased aftermaking bank wire transfers based on the sellers’ invoices. In worst cases, the sellerscould not be reached after. For Cross-Border Transactions, transferring money directlyinto a stranger’s bank account is an extremely risky act. tradecarview stronglyrecommends the use of “PayTrade” where Carview temporarily holdsthe payment from the buyer and only releases the money to the seller after we confirmthe shipment of item.
Case 2: Received a different vehicle
We also have cases that buyers received vehicles with different colors, year, mileagesand etc than what they ordered. Requesting a refund or exchange usually requiresextra time and money so most buyers will simply just accept the fact and keep thevehicles that they did not order. Recently, we have also noticed that some sellerssend a different vehicle on purpose.tradecarview strongly recommends the use of “PayTrade” where Carview confirms the chassis/VIN number and onlyreleases the money to the seller after we confirm the invoice so the chance of receivinga different vehicle is extremely low.
