What is tradecarview?

tradecarview is an online automobile information service website. It is business to business (B2B) platform linking overseas Japanese used car dealers with used car dealers in Japan. Please click on tradecarview for detailed information.

Searching for a car
  1. On the top page, you will see “Find your car” option at the top of the page.

  2. Please select the make and model and click GO button.

  3. In the next window, all available used cars for the models you selected will be displayed.

  4. To refine your search, please use the search options provided e.g. year, color, car truck& service etc.

  5. To view more details regarding a used car, please click on the photo.

Submitting inquiry
  1. Please click on the used car that you want to buy.

  2. To submit inquiry, please click on the Ask / Request more information button next to the unit you want.

  3. If the used Japanese car you need is not available on our website, please click on Inquiry button on the top page to send your offer.

  1. How to register

    1.1 Log on to; tradecarview

    1.2 Click on register button on the top right side of the page.

    1.3 In the next window Click on Signup button.

    1.4 Fill the entry form in the resulting window.

    1.5 Ensure there are no errors and click on Submit button at the bottom.

    1.6 After confirming the registration form, click on save button in the next window.

    1.7 A confirmation email will be automatically sent to your email account. Please open your email box and click on the link provided on the confirmation email from our system (members ID).

    1.8 In the resulting window please use your ID and Password to log on to the website. Your registration is complete.

  2. To retrieve User ID

    2.1 Click on the login button on the top page.

    2.2 In the resulting window, click on “Forgot ID” option located above the ID entry text box.

    2.3 In the resulting window, please enter your email address and click Send.

    2.4 In the following window, please enter your date of birth and your country. Our system willautomatically send you your ID.

  3. To renew User password

    3.1 Click on the login button on the top page.

    3.2 In the resulting window, click on “Renew password” option located above the ID entry text box.

    3.3 In the resulting window, please enter your ID and click send.

    3.4 In the following window, please enter your email address and click send.

    3.5 Our system will automatically generate a password and send it to you.

    3.6 Please change your password soon after renewal to ensure that you can easily remember the password.

  4. To withdraw membership

    4.1 Log on to tradecarview

    4.2 Login to your account.

    4.3 On the top, right side of the top page, please click on your nickname next to the logout button.

    4.4 In the next window, enter your password and login.

    4.5 In the resulting window, click on the withdraw membership button.

    4.6 You will be asked to confirm whether you actually want to withdraw membership.

    4.7 Click on withdraw membership to remove your account.

Common trade terms
  1. FOB(Free on board)

    In FOB terms, the seller delivers when the goods pass the ship’s rail at the named port of shipment. The buyer has to bear all the cost and risk of loss or damage to the goods from that point. The seller takes the responsibility to clear the goods for export. FOB is only used for sea or inland waterway transport.

  2. CIF (Cost Insurance and Freight)

    In CIF, the seller delivers the goods when the goods pass the ship’s rail in the port of shipment. The seller pays the cost and freight necessary to deliver the goods to the named port of destination and also procures marine insurance. The seller is only required to obtain minimum insurance coverage. However, the risk of loss or damage of the good and any additional costs due to events occurring after the time of delivery are transferred from the seller to the buyer. The seller takes the responsibility to clear the goods for export. CIF can only be used for sea and inland water way transport.

  3. C&F (Cost and Freight)

  4. Bill of lading

    A bill of landing is issued by a carrier as proof for receipt of goods and acts as a contract of carriage. Bill of lading describes the goods, details of intended voyage and specifies the conditions for transport.

  5. Invoice

    An invoice is a document sent by the seller to the buyer. The invoice contains a list of goods sold to the buyer. It shows the name and address of the buyer and a detailed description of the goods sold. It includes details of the product, quantity, Price, delivery point, charges and other significant details of the transaction.

  6. Pro-forma Invoice

    A Pro-forma Invoice is the first draft of a seller’s bill to the buyer. It is a quotation sent from the seller to the buyer containing description of goods to be delivered. It includes the product details, quantity, value, buyers name and address etc. Based on the Profoma invoice, the buyer decides whether to proceed on with the order.

    Carview Corporation does not export used Japanese vehicles. Carview Corporation owns and manages tradecarview as a Business to Business platform for linking Japanese car dealers in Japan and overseas. Vehicles available on tradecarview are exported by tradecarview used car dealers.

  2. Who are tradecarview Dealers?

    tradecarview used car dealers are companies that sell their used Japanese cars through the website tradecarview. While we do not give guarantee for sales through the website, the used car dealers are legally existing companies here in Japan. It is important that you get detailed information about the car you want to buy before you pay. It is the responsibility of the buyer and seller to take necessary precautions.   3. What is freight charge for to my port of destination?

  4. Who do I pay to and how do I transfer the money?

    You do not pay to Carview Corporation. You pay to the used car dealer who owns the vehicle you intend to purchase. Please ask the dealer to provide you with bank information. The method & terms of payment may differ from one dealer to the other. Please consult the dealers you are buying from for their payment procedures.

  5. I need pro-forma invoice / quotation for this car

    To acquire the pro-forma invoice, please send your inquiry through tradecarview. Once the dealer receives your inquiry, they will contact you. You can also contact the dealers directly by calling them or emailing them. To see the dealer’s contact information please click on the dealer name next to the image of the car. If you know the dealer name, you can search for the company in the dealer list.

  6. I want to know whether this car is still available.

    Please submit your inquiry through tradecarview. To send inquiry, please click on the Ask / Request more information button next to the stock you want. Dealers on our network will respond to your inquiry. If you don’t get response promptly please contact the dealer directly via phone to confirm they have the unit you want in their yard.

  7. Does the stated price include freight charge?

    Prices appearing on tradecarview are all free on board (FOB). FOB term does not include freight charge to the port of destination. Please contact the dealer if you want C.I.F or C&F quotations.

  8. I want to know the condition of this car

    To get more details regarding the condition of the used Japanese car, please contact the dealer who owns the car and request for details. The dealer name is available next to the photo of the car you want. Please click on the dealer name to get details of the Company.

  9. I visited the website but could not find any car of my desire

    If you cannot locate your desired used Japanese car, please submit your inquiry by clicking the inquiry button on our top page. You will be prompted to login. If you have already created an account, please enter your ID and password to log in. If you don’t have an account, please click on the sign up button to create an account. Once you log in, please enter details of the car you want in the entry form provided.
